Why won't Mojave install on my MacBook Air after installation?

MacBook Air 11″, macOS 10.14

You need a 2013 MacBook Air, or later, and 35.5 GB of available storage on the Mac before Big Sur will upgrade it from Mojave.

What is your MacBook Air's sub-model? Some older MBAs that can run Mojave and Catalian cannot run Big Sur. "About this Mac" will show your sub-model.
