How do I delete files that start with ~$?

How can I delete files that start with ~$? I have a bunch of them. They look like they are supposed to be temp files for Microsoft Office. They are almost all 162 bytes, some 165 bytes. There is clearly no useful data in these files (most are really old and I don't even care about the original). If I try to delete them with rm in Terminal it's like they don't exist. If I open the directory in finder I cannot see them to drag to trash. I would like to get rid of them. It's really annoying to see all these garbage useless files when I am working in terminal.

Bonus if there is some way to find them all and delete them all.
