How do I connect a Apple Pencil to my iPad to charge
It would depend on what model of iPad and what model of Apple Pencil you have. The first generation Pencil, which has a removable cap, plugs into the lightning port of the iPad. If you have an iPad that supports the 2nd generation Pencil, which has one flat side, it is designed to connect magnetically to the side of the iPad where the volume buttons are with the flat side of the Pencil and it charges that way.
