I put the watch on the charger and it isnt charging

When i put my new apple watch on the charger it isnt charging ? Any suggestions

If your Apple Watch won't charge or it won't turn on - Apple Support

And if it's a brand new watch make sure you take the thin plastic cover off the charging puck and the back of the watch.
