how do I change the name of a device on my account

I have multiple watches that end up having the same Device Name under my Apple ID account. How do I change the device name so I can more easily tell them apart?

Name of Apple Watch I have changed the name of my Apple Watch in the app. The new name is displayed in the app and on the watch itself. However in the Apple ID on both my iPad and iPhone the old name is still displayed. I have changed their names without any issues, it is just the watch name that the doesn’t change.
