I have a company phone used by an employee no longer with us. It shows active under my Verizon account but I don’t have the passcode to get into the phone. It’s a 6s plus.

I have a phone purchased by my company. The employee that used it is no longer with us. I don’t have a passcode to access the phone. It’s an active phone and I have the phone number.

You can try erasing it to remove the passcode but you may also find the employee has their AppleID in the Find My feature and that will require looking at the second link below.

Read the Apple Support document about what to do if you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled. Click here --> http://support.apple.com/HT204306

I guess we're not 100% clear if the phone is in the employer's possession or not. I was assuming it was since it was not explicitly stated it had been retained by the employee. Of course if the employee has kept the phone and you're just worried about paying for telephone service then contact the phone company and have service terminated and the phone blacklisted to prevent it from being placed in service by any company again. My post was assuming you do still have the phone and the employee's Apple ID is still on the phone and preventing your company from setting it up for a new user.
