Apple Watch is still connected to previous owner Apple ID

My apple watch that was used by a different owner, still says that it in connected to their Apple ID when we have deleted it. How do I disconnect it?

You can't. That watch is useless to you until the original owner has released the Activvetion Lock.

They should have followed these steps before selling, trading or giving the watch away.
