macOS Font/Language bug?

Hi everyone!

I have been having a problem with macOS since today. In some apps (like StreamLabs OBS and Opera GX) it shows a weird font/language on some of the text (not all of it), and usually when I click on it, it shows the normal text that I typed in.

It's a little hard to explain and I can't really find it anywhere online, maybe you guys can help me out?

When I highlight the text, it shows the normal text ^

I deleted the fonts I installed last night, restarted my MacBook and now it seems to work fine. Must have been a font issue with one that I installed? Font Book did not give me any errors or problems when I validated them though..

Do you see this problem with any apple apps, like Mail, Safari, Message, Notes, TextEdit, Pages?

It looks like some sort of font glitch in those apps. Try Opera support.

Unfortunately Font Book usually doesn't detect conflicts like the one you are seeing. Also when it does signal errors/problems, they usually do not have any practical importance and there's no problem using the font,
