Restart your Mac holding Shift to load Safe Mode. Once loaded, restart normally and see if your Mac comes back.

Restart holding Command R to enter Recovery Mode, open Disk Utility, select the internal drive and run First Aid

If these actions don't bring back your macOS, you'll have to reinstall it.

How to reinstall macOS - Apple Support

If possible, connect your Mac to a wired network to execute this procedure since it downloads the installer from Apple servers and any minor drops on your connection can make you restart the procedure from zero.

macOS is designed to preserve your personal data when you make this kind of reinstallation without formatting the disk, but you can lose data in the process, so I hope you have an up to date backup (always have one).
