I am having an allergic reaction to the Apple Watch band

That's really bad luck but contact dermatitis is not something Apple can really be held accountable for when it's an established reaction in some people to some materials.

If it's not the watch case itself but the band I hope they'll be able to try to find you an alternative that works, good luck.

It really doesn't have anything to do with loyalty to customers and friends. They have to make their devices out of things that are available. If they eliminate the particular component that you had an allergic reaction to they would have to replace it with something else that another person might be allergic to. There are bands that you could probably use but if it's components in the watch then your best bet is to just stop wearing it.

So you have a serious nickel allergy? If yes then you probably reacted to the back of the watch and the metal disk on the strap. Contact Apple and return the watch and get your money back.

Apple uses as little nickel as possible in the Watch. How bad was the reaction from the back of the Watch? You could try a sports loop that has no metal.

I had the same issue. I bought the solo loop and it gave me a rash. So, I bought the sport band and it gave me a rash too. What did you do? Any suggestions?

You need to make an appointment with and allergist and take bands with you.
