Smart Mailboxes Not Indexing Properly

Ever since the update to Big Sur, my Smart Mailboxes are "invisible." I believe it has something to do with Spotlight because if I quit Spotlight's processes in Terminal then restart it, then it works and I can briefly "see" my Smart Mailboxes. After a few days though the problem reoccurs. It's definitely a bug. Is there anywhere else to post this report besides here so Apple can see it?

Hello travelermanu!

From your post we see you are running into some trouble with Smart Mailboxes not working properly after updating. We want to make sure that your mail is being sorted properly for you! Since this issue seems to be related to Spotlight, let's try rebuilding the Spotlight index first: Rebuild the Spotlight index on your Mac.

Thank you, Joseph! I did reindex Spotlight, and that didn't seem to work. I ended up just deleting all my Smart Mailboxes, creating new ones, and then restarting Mail. That seems to have worked. You should share this with others who may be having trouble. In retrospect I should have done that before reindexing. Oh well, no big deal. Thank you for your help.
