Flashlight battery drain

Hello,

I am having issues on my iPhone 12 pro with it showing extremely high usage for the torch for some strange reason. ( settings / battery, usage by App ) My torch is only used for flash notifications so this does not make sense at all. I have restored the phone through iTunes as advised but has made no difference! Is anyone else seeing this on the 12 pro? Concerned it is effecting ting my battery

Thanks for reaching out talha30,

It sounds like the LED flash alerts on your iPhone is using power power than you expect, is that right?

The Battery Usage By App you see in Settings > Battery, is a measurement of the amount of power a feature or app is using, relative to the usage of other apps. The torch or flashlight, can be expected to use more power than other apps, if it's enabled for notifications, and you haven't used many other resource intensive apps or features, what you're seeing may not be unexpected.

How many hours are you getting from a full 100% charge, until your iPhone is below 10% and needs to be connected to power with the feature enabled?

We look forward to hearing back from you!

Hello, that is correct, I am seeing a lot more usage of the torch than expected for led flash alerts. my understanding is for any sort of notification. The torch usage should equate to 1m, if the torch is used intentionally I would expect the usage time to be adjusted accordingly however my usage for the torch ranges between 2-4 hours which is definitely not a correct reflection of the notifications I receive, please see attached screenshot for reference
