Vive on Macmini M1

Is there a way to get Vive VR equipment to run on a macmini M1 ? I know they say no egpu support but with all those gpu cores who needs an external one. Is it because Steam has dropped the ball? If it's not going to ever work then I'd better sell the setup but I'd like to keep it. It was working fine on the iMac I sold to get the M!. It was a mid 2015 27" retina and needed no egpu.

Mac mini, macOS 10.15

well memory just has to be enough to store the textures the gpu are rendering on the current backbuffer, so just adding more of that will not speed things up, it's just if the textures use more than there is it's an issue.

if you look at the pro rendering cards from nvidia and amd they have tons of fans and extra power connectors, where the gpu part of the system on chip, of the m1 seems impressive, it's a different ballgame.
