Can I return a watch strap that has been opened but only been tried with the watch to see how it looks and I don’t like it

Someone bought me a Milanese loop in graphite I opened it took it out the box to see it on the watch and instantly knew it wasn’t for me. Can they send it back for a refund as I don’t want them to spend all that money on something I don’t like.
