Family Sharing - Adult needs permission for each purchase

I am the organizer in our Family Sharing plan. My wife is set up as an Adult, and we have no other members in our family plan. She mainly only makes purchases from a game on her iPhone, and it always asks for a code sent to my phone before she can complete an in-game purchase. Is there some setting in my Family Sharing settings I need to change so that she can make unlimited purchases from my card on my iCloud account?

Hey BTA1138,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

We see from your post that your wife is having trouble with Ask to Buy in your Family Sharing group. We can help.

Use these steps to turn Ask to Buy off:

Turn on Ask to Buy for Family Sharing purchases - Apple Support

"Turn Ask to Buy on or off

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, click Family Sharing , then select Ask To Buy in the sidebar.
  2. Select or deselect the tickbox next to a family member’s name.
  3. Note: Age restrictions for Ask to Buy vary by area. In the United States, the family organiser can enable Ask to Buy for any family member under age 18; for children under age 13, it’s enabled by default.

Ask to Buy isn’t available for adults. To stop paying for an adult’s purchases, remove that person from Family Sharing. For instructions, see Manage a Family Sharing group on Mac."

Cheers!
