Apple ID change

I am trying to get my iPhone information on my new iPad. But I had an old Apple ID on my iPhone and changed it to match my iPad. But I still don’t have the info on my ipad, ie. photos emails, texts. Plus all of my contacts and most of my old information is gone from my iPhone. I think it’s on my old Apple ID. Can I bring that information into my new Apple ID?

iPhone X, iOS 14

Try signing back into your old ID and allow time for all the iCloud data to sync back. The photos sync is extremely slow. It could take several days or more for the photos to sync.

Then see if the links below help you transfer the data.

Use iCloud to transfer data from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you find you need to sign into the new ID on the phone to transfer data, when changing to the new ID, there may be some data loss, but you can minimize it. If syncing photos with iCloud, ensure Optimization is turned off in Settings/Your Name/iCloud/Photos and/or in Photos/Preferences/iCloud. Then make sure full resolution photos are on the device/computer. When signing out of iCloud, if asked whether you want to retain data, choose yes. Messages conversations will be lost if they are addressed to the ID. See the article below for other places that the old ID should be removed. See Winston Churchill's response in the below discussion. If possible, also set up Family Sharing  between the IDs to keep access to your apps/purchases.
