website links and online forms not working since update

Hi, since I updated when I click on a link in a website that should take me to an online form or another section of the website it just comes up as a grey page in the middle with nothing to click through on. This is happening on all websites. They all work fine on google chrome? and used to work completely fine before the update and I've always had Apple computers. Does the same on my iMac as well as MacBook

Excuse the boringness of the subject of screen shot it's just to illustrate what's happening. There's one of safari and one of chrome.

Any help would be appreciated as I really don't like using Chrome.
