Scammed from using Apple Pay Cash,

I was recently scammed, and had used Apple Pay Cash to pay. I should have known better :( I’ve tried asking for my money back and of course they don’t respond. Can my bank do anything to help if it was linked to my account? Also I know it says to notify local police but what can they do about it? Is it worth telling them? Would opening a dispute with Apple help? Has anyone had any luck being refunded?

  1. you bank would only take money from your AppleCash and that is not a refund it is a theft from Apple Cash.
  2. you should absolutely contact the police. It is worth telling them because that person is a thief.

3. Apple Cash cannot be refunded if you have been the victim of a scam. There is no buyer protection for Apple Cash. You must report it to the police and report it here - Get Support If the scam happened on social media (Facebook/Instagram, etc.) you need to let them know as well.
