iPhone XR will not ring on phone calls. I’ve tried settings and an update of software. Nothing works

what are my options for getting my cell phone to ring. It was ringing up until about two weeks ago I get missed phone calls and have checked settings even allowing all phone calls. I can get a vibration but it often is not enough to catch my attention.

The phone gives me mixed information. One place tells me I have version 14.2 and another tells me I have 14.3 I have worked on this nonstop for nearly a week

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having an issue with your iPhone ringing. We're happy to help.

We recommend checking to see if Silent mode is enabled. You can check on the side of your phone to ensure orange isn't showing. The article here also has a great visual: How to put your iPhone on vibrate, ring, or silent mode

I’ve done all of that. I reset the phone, took two days resetting everything, installed an update, and nothing changes the fact that it won’t ring.

It also has developed the inability to use the Facebook app, telling me that my internet connection is not working for that, but I can access it on an internet browser, along with two games I play sometimes as well as play several other games, .... and I can get email, respond to email, and not get so much as a peep from a phone call. I’m setting up an appointment with an Apple store for the Genius Bar because on my own I exhausted my last hope yesterday in updating my iPhone Xr to system 14.3 without so much as a phone ring with just the smallest of pocket buzzes.
