How do I get IPAD software updates manually on my pc

How do I get IPAD software updates manually on my pc. I do not have itunes on my pc. What all will I have to download onto my pc so that I can connect my Ipad and get the updates.

Also, the ipad is not set up to get updates wireless. Is there a way to change the setting on my ipad to get wireless updates?
