I got a pop up and alert and said to call Apple Support. Is it for real?

I got a pop up virus and had a apple support number to call at 1-***-***-0265. The Roger gave me his number of ***-***-5739, ext 1996. Legit? He had me download Anydesk.com and read him the id for my computer that popped up on the app. I am super suspicious of phishing and asked him for a apple employee number or something I could check against him. Lastly he asked for me to give him my computer code that unlocks to make changes. I said I would have to verify him first and would call back. He would not give me any further instructions siting it was for a technician. Anyone else have this?

Scam. Apple will never ask you to call them nor put a pop up to do so on your screen. Always call the official Apple number when in doubt and first. Don't click on pop ups.

Hope this helps
