Charger disconnecting from iphone

Why does my iPhone 8+ Keep disconnecting and connecting to the charger when it is in??

I also am using the official apple charger that came in the box

Ensure that the charging cable is from apple as well. If the issue still still continues then try a different cable and if necessary a different charger.
