That’s the reason you cannot get the app!

The Apple Watch does not pair or connect to the iPad. But you must use the same Apple ID on the iPad as the Apple Watch uses.

Your Apple Watch (it’s not called an iWatch) requires WatchOS 7.2. Do you meet all the requirements shown here?

I have the new iPad Air (14.3) and a Series 5 Watch (7.2). I have used Apple Fitness+ on my iPhone 11 Pro, my Apple TVs but can not on my iPad. There is no Apple Watch app or Apple Fitness app in the App Store. What gives?

Thanks for the information. The app does show up via Safari on my iPad Air but it says that "This app requires specific features not available on this device." I'm wondering if my having 2 AppleIDs is the problem rather than the device itself. My Watch is under one apple ID and the iPad is under another. Both IDs are registered as users in Family Sharing. Also, my Watch isn't paired w the iPad Air. Don't know how to do that. It's of course paired w my phone under the same Apple ID as the Watch which is different from the iPad Air.

If “support username” means the name you use in these Communities, I believe that cannot be changed.

You can change your Apple ID if that’s what you mean.
