Try and turn iMessages OFF and then back ON again.

Open Settings ➔ Messages ➔ iMessage : Set this to OFF.

Turn your iPhone OFF at this point. Then turn it back ON again.

Open Settings ➔ Messages ➔ iMessage : Set this to ON

See if you can get iMessages activated again.
