Hey Jimsch23,

We understand you're trying to silent your device but still allow notifications from certain contacts. You should look into the Do Not Disturb feature. With Don Not Disturb you can silent your iPhone but allow contacts set up as "favorites" to be able to contact you. Take a look at the steps and information in this article for Do Not Disturb.
