Look into the Following:
A. View Compatibility Specs:
What ultimate determines if operably is possible between the two items is compatibility. So, contact the manufacturer, or view the User Manual to see if it is compatible. If it is an older device than when AirPods were released, then I would suspect that incompatibility would be getting in the way here.
B. How Does this Connect?
Are your AirPods are hardwired (3.5MM AUX jack) or wireless (Bluetooth)? If it is hardwired, then there should be no issue with the connection. If it is Bluetooth, then be certain Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
