FaceTime and WhatsApp will not be an issue. These two apps will work in India. The bigger question is how well the phone section will perform in India. Check here ➔ Which iPhone 12 Model Works Where
Once you get to that website then compare models sold in Dubai and Models that are sold in India. Ensure that the Cellular bands are same in both regions. Once you confirm that the bands are the same (most of them) then you are good to go and purchase the iPhone in Dubai and take it to India.
One other thing to note and that is that the Apple warranty applicable in Dubai may not be honored for service in India. Google search more about this, if applicable, and make your decision.
