Hello V_J_R,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand you need to re-pair your Apple Watch to your paired iPhone. We'll be happy to help.

Just to be sure, are you able to confirm and verify if the Apple Watch is currently paired to your iPhone? To verify that, please open the Watch app on your iPhone and tap on the My Watch tab > Select "All Watches" in the upper left corner. In addition, when you unpair an Apple Watch to a paired iPhone, it automatically creates a backup of the data to iCloud through the paired iPhone. That information is outlined in this article: Back up your Apple Watch

You may have to unpair the Apple Watch and re-pair it. Here's two articles on how to perform each step:

  1. Unpair and erase your Apple Watch
  2. Set up your Apple Watch

Best regards.

V_J_R,

Thanks for getting back to us. We're glad to hear you were able to get your Apple Watch paired with your companion iPhone once again.

If you're looking to temporarily disconnect your Apple Watch from the companion iPhone, which is what it sounds like based on your initial post, we would recommend just turning off Bluetooth from the Apple Watch itself. On the Apple Watch, go to Settings > Bluetooth, and tap Bluetooth to turn it off. This disconnects the watch from the phone, but does not unpair it from the companion iPhone completely. You can then just simply navigate back to this same area on the Apple Watch to turn Bluetooth on again, and it will automatically reconnect without the need to re-pair to your iPhone.

Have a wonderful rest of your day.

Kind regards.
