Question

Unzipping a .pak file

Updating firmware for security cameras and was sent a .pak file. How do I unzip to utilize on all devices?

Need to transfer file to USB for upgrade on NVR (TV view) connected by ethernet, but also have AppleTv.
plus to upgrade my iPhone, iPad Pro and MacBook Air - to sync.

Pak files are new to me and company transferring .pak file is located in China, making for a very clumsy upgrade.

Not sure of application to unzip and utilize with iOS.

Appreciate any help in understanding this process. Thanks,

The company sending you the file should also have a program you can use to unzip it. What have they said when you asked for help?

Thanks BUT Already tried 7 file extractors listed in App Store and none have “unzipped correctly and fully” to work. This is the reason for my post. That was my first choice to get file extractor apps, but is appears to be more complicated when using third party Apple compatible file extractors due to security and privacy preferences and messages such as “app will damage your computer”. Need assurance, understanding and correct safe process, identifying third party developers, message such as “Apple checking for malicious software.” Also need info regarding not App Store but “iOS App Store. Thanks anyway.

But they don’t and is the problem. large files. NVR based. game based. Security cameras firmware. . And based in Hong Kong. Firmware upgrade for NVR. . Unable to resolve why it won’t unzip in my Apple environment. iOS based not app based. Before remote access wanted to resolve on my end.
