I want to disable notifications for reactions in imessage

It makes a unique sound that i want to turn off.
It adds a red dot to the app icon, which requires you to acknowledge the reaction before the dot can go away.

This is frustrating because reactions are objectively a different urgency than an actual message, and shouldn’t be prioritized and categorized as such.

Suggestion: Allow users to disable reaction notifications per-conversation.

After reviewing your post, it seems like you want to disable the reactions notification in the Messages app on the iPhone. While there is no setting to disable reaction notifications, you can always submit feedback.
