Black button under the power button

Why there is a black button under my brother’s iphone 12 pro? He got his phone from America. Meanwhile I got mine from ireland and it doesn’t have that black button? Is it a disadvantage?

It’s not a button.

it is an antenna window for a band of 5G that is only used in the US.

Any iPhone not intended for use or sale in the US won’t have it.
