Skin burn on wrist from Apple Watch

I experienced a deep red burn on my upper left wrist about the beginning of December. I took the watch off and switched it to my right wrist. I did not think a great deal of it at first and wish I had taken photos of it right away. It's blistered up. In a few days those blisters feel off but it was still red. Now about 4 weeks later it is still red and still has a bit of a crusty skin scab. I have taken phots of it periodically as shown. The last image was yesterday. I believe wearing the watch at night and possibly sleeping on top of my wrist may have triggered the problem but I am not sure. I have not had a similar problem so far with my left wrist. I am wondering if others have had a similar problem?
