Buying an iPhone 12 in a different country

I am from New Zealand, currently in Greece. I need to buy an iPhone 12 but wanted to confirm the iPhone I would buy here is the same as what I would get in NZ? As in that it would work in NZ the same, and world wide as normal as I travel a lot. Not sure if this is a stupid question. I have checked "Identify your iPhone model" https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201296 and both the NZ and Greece iPhones have the same model number, which I assume is a yes to my question. Thanks.

If you are in Greece. You can buy the iPhone 12 which is factory unlocked. The "unlocked" iPhones can be used around the world regardless of Carrier.

You can check the IMEI or the customer service will tell you if it's unlocked or not.

Hope this helps.
