Trying to pair my watch!

In order to pair, the watch has to update. When I try to update, it says “not connected to the internet”. I have cellular and WiFi. I’m on the internet!

The watch is not paired and will not pair because of the “not connected to the internet” error.

I don’t understand how the watch can be connected to the internet if it won’t pair. I have 2 options: English and UNited States. Then it goes to pairing.
