iMessage and Facetime “Waiting for activation”

My iMessage and Facetime suddenly got stuck on “waiting for activation” for almost 24 hours and i have tried some solutions I saw online.

I’ve tried turning them both off and on again, I’ve reset my network settings. I have also out of iCloud, proceeded to turn iMessage and Facetime off, switched my phone off for a couple of minutes.

I am completely stumped on what else to do. Is anyone else having this problem too? Please note that this is NOT a new device and I have been using both of these features for quite some time now.

See this, If you get an error when trying to activate iMessage or FaceTime - Apple Support

Also, understand that for every time you try and activate it, the 24 hour timer resets. Try to activate it, and if after trying all the steps listed, including waiting for 24 hours without clicking on anything else, you need to contact Apple Support. The link is in the support document.
