Heat Issue

My iPhone 12 is getting heated in the left side first i.e the area where volume buttons and silent button present. Other part of my phone remains chill.

Why is it getting heated there first?

The iPhone 11's battery is on left-side (when looking at the back of the phone). Batteries tend to get heated when under use or during charging.

Sorry, I misread your post. For the iPhone 12, as you look at the back of the phone, the battery is just inside the right-hand side. That would make it the left-hand side from the phone's front.
