My child’s account is assigned role of adult

Ahh okay. you have to close her current account and open it correctly. You have to 18 to legally use Apple Cash.

To properly set up Apple Cash Family you must first close any accounts that children already had. Make sure that the balance is zero then go here - Manage your Apple Cash account - Apple Support

My daughter already had an Apple ID that was not a child’s (she’s 13). When I added her to my family and to Apple Cash, her “role” is “adult” - do I need to change that to be able to view her Apple Cash transactions, etc. that I could do with a child?
