iMac bought in Nov 2020 came with macOS Catalina instead of Big Sur

I bought an iMac 21.5" in Nov 2020 during their Black Friday sale. I thought it was supposed to come with macOS Big Sur (as shown on the image of my order) but it came with Catalina instead. I know it's easy enough to update to Big Sur but it needlessly takes up 12GB. It also makes me wonder what else is "wrong" with the iMac. Did this happen to anyone else? Should I complain to Apple? Thanks.

Which it comes with will be dependent on exactly when it was manufactured and boxed relative to when Big Sur was released.

If it was manufactured before the final release of Big Sur, they are not going to take it out of the box and update it, then re-package it for sale...
