my data hasn't seemed to transfer over to my new phone - messages are only being recived on the old device

We understand that you are unsure if your data transferred from your old iPhone to your new iPhone. We’d be glad to help.
To confirm, did you use Quick Start to transfer data or did you restore your new iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup?
Transfer data from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Did you contact your carrier to get your cellular service transferred to the new device as well? Are you able to make and receive calls on the new iPhone without issue?
