My homepod mini will not show up when put next to phone.
My homepod mini will not show up on iphone when I put next to iphone. There is no 8 digit code on the package so that I can manually setup. Can someone help?
Thank you for your response however, resetting by holding the top of HomePod didn’t work.
Fixed: since HomePod mini does not have a HomeKit number like other HomeKit products, the only way to fix the issue was to reset by plugging into my MacBook and then find it in the finder window, click it and update it. It was only after this that it showed up when placed next to my phone. I don’t understand why 1 out of the 2 I bought came like this where I had to reset it. The other worked right away.
It would be helpful for Apple to state that the HomePod minis do not have an 8 digit and to tell people to plug into MacBook or iMac to reset. It would seriously save people a lot of time looking for the number that’s nonexistent.
