Just got a new phone. When I use the gmail app, and I type in, for example, “Nana”, nanasmith @ Gmail pops up in the address bar because I’ve emailed that address many times. But when I use the MAIL app, in my Gmail account, and I again type in “Nana” , nothing shows up. None of the commonly sent addresses I email to show up and auto fill.
any ideas?

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand that the Mail app does not populate a suggested email address, when you type in the recipients email address. We'll be happy to help.
Since acquiring the brand new iPhone, you'll first want to use the Mail app to send an email to the recipient's email address. The next time, you compose an email to that same email address, the suggested email address should populate. If you haven't tried yet, we suggest to attempt that process and see if the email address will populate.
