Why are my external fonts not available in apps after install?

I installed external fonts from Dafont using AnyFont on my iPad and can see the profiles are setup in my Settings>General tab but they do not show up in ANY apps. These are fonts I’ve installed before on the same iPad and they worked fine for awhile with Office and Adobe. However, I am not sure if it was after an iOS update or not, but the fonts no longer were visible/available in the app or in any document I used them in. My solution was to delete the profiles and reinstall them but obviously that didn’t work. Please advise.

This is NOT a global iOS device feature.

The ability to use third party fonts has to be coded into apps on an individual basis.

I only have about a dozen apps or so that support third party fonts.

Most apps that could support third party fonts, for some inexplicable reason, to date, still do not support third party fonts.

I suspect the “roll-out” of this feature in applicable apps will take some time to happen.

You need to remain patient and wait for any app updates for this feature to appear in apps that you are using.

Happy New Year!
