Does Safari offer PPC ads for advertisers?

With rumors of Apple launching its own search engine, I'm wondering if it offers a pay per click ad platform for advertisers to run on Safari Search?

You would need to contact Apple and ask. At present there is no publicly available knowledge regarding that subject.
