You can safely use the USB-C to Lightning cable with an Apple (or other name-brand) USB-C power adapter. The phone and the USB-C power source will negotiate the correct voltage and current.
My mistake the cable is lightning on one end and USB C ON The other, I also have a new plug (charger) with the USB C . Question is will it supply too much voltage and damage my iPhone 7 Plus
Only if one end of that cable has a Lightning connector as they are not interchangeable with a USB-C type.
