Why my MacBook air m1 chips battery died in just 8 hours? I just used chrome and whats app nothing else. And my Macbook air is just 12 days old.

Apple says if you are just browsing then battery will be running 15 hours..
Then allow me to ask in a different manner. What do you think Chrome does?
Whats your point?
The point being if you wish to test the battery capabilities of the Mac, use a browser that is not known to be a resource hog (AKA Chrome).
How long does the battery last if you use Safari instead of Chrome. Chrome isn't exactly the most resource friendly browser.
