New functions keys are not working on MB Air M1

Based on what you mentioned, you want the function keys to work with standard function and its not working. Please try the steps below.

1. "Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences.
2. Click Keyboard.
3. Select "Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys"."

I have the same problem. Have logged a 'feedback assistant' report. Using 11.2 dev beta RC 11.2 (20D53). Worked okay before this. all the other F keys work fine except F4 (spotlight), F5 (dictation) and F6 (DND). Also the Globe/Fn key doesn't appear to work either.

This does not work!

Please apple take note of Leroy-Melb's reply as this is the same issue I am having.

It needs to be fixed through a software update.

It is kind of dissapointing that basic keyboard functionality is not redily working from the box.

There is an alternative as an App if anybody needs it: Karabiner-Elements. But why would you install an App for out-of-the-box keyboard functionality?
