That is strange .
Anyone selling new Apple products should have informed you of all the available warranties, including any Apple warranties.
Are these new or used, second hand iPad models?
The standard, free, one-year limited AppleCare ( no plus sign ) warranty does NOT cover ANY damage inflicted by the user.
ONLY manufacturing defects.
I suggest you go to the Apple Website with each of the currently undamaged iPads and get paid, extended AppleCare+ for eack of those iPad immediately, if not sooner.

Kids destroy things all the time.
For your son's iPad, it maybe too late.
You could try for AppleCare+ on that damaged device now and see what, happens.
Do not tell Apple or inform the AppleCare+ Website area about any damage and see if the AppleCare+ goes through.
If no joy on getting AppleCare+ on that damaged iPad,
Either live with the bend and see if anything happens to the operation of this iPad over time, and be prepared to pay for a replacement iPad, which will cost approx, 60% of that iPad's original cost, without the paid extended AppleCare+.
Apple does NOT repair iPads.
To expedite speedy customer service, Apple Stores only do in/out of warranty iPad replacements.
An AppleCare+ warranty iPad replacement would normally only cost a much smaller $49 replacement iPad fee.
Without AppleCare+, the replacement iPad is far more expensive.
If you decide on purchasing a replacement iPad for the damaged one, you can still get AppleCare+ for that iPad at purchase time or within a 60 day period for the replacement.
This all assumes whether or not AppleCare+ can get added, or not, to that damaged iPad.
Sorry & Best of Luck to You!
iPads can bend if any decent pressure is applied, like being sat on or sometimes by griping it too hard if your kids are playing really intense games on these iPads.
Putting hand/arm pressure on top of the iPad's screen when sitting on a flat surface can bend the iPad without necessarily cracking the glass.
Also, batteries can heat up, causing the aluminium iPad backcase/chassis to bend.
Batteries can get hot doing very resource intensive tasks that can get hot enough to bend the aluminium backcase/chassis.
When charging, it is most times best to leave the cover of the protective case open to allow heat to escape the iPad when the battery is charging.
Maybe the kids were fighting with the iPad and bent it? I have no clue.
How bent is this iPad?
Can you take an image of the bend and post it in another reply?
At this point, It really doesn't matter, now, how it got bent. It is bent!
At this point, this is all damage control.
Yes but what I don't understand is there is no way my 11 yr old 19kg *** son could possibly bend and iPad without cracking or smashing the screen.. he doesn't sleep with it and hadn't dropped it ( sits on the lounge with it ) and it goes into my room at night to charge.. there's not indent to indicate any damage just a bend
Well,
Okay that's GOOD!!!
Great hard cases are the way to go, but with hard cases, some times, some hard case designs do not provide for good/adequate heat flow-through to allow heat to dissipate from both the device and the case.
Something you need to look for in a protective, hard shell plastic case for tablets ( and laptops computers ) are places where heat from the device can escape.
Otherwise the heat continues to build up in the device that can cause ALL sorts of issues.
Look, I gave you a bunch of scenarios for possible reason on how an iPad could, and can, get bent.
There is nothing more to do or theorise on, any longer.
The iPad is bent now.
It is what it is.
So, I gave you the resources to be able to deal with that now.
There is nothing else to do at this point.
I have given you my best advice and solutions to this.
Sorry & Best of Luck to You!
Did you purchase extended, two-year AppleCare+ for these iPads?
Did you purchase protective cases for these iPads?
I bought these iPads from bigw store. Yes has a protective case on all iPads.
Apple care wasn't offered when I bought the iPads
So, that is no to an Apple Purchase of extended AppleCare+ through the Apple Website?
Yes that's correct as I never new of that.. these are the first apple items I've ever had
Also, dpending on the age of your children, you may want to consider getting much more protective, third party iPad cases, in the near future, as well!
Again, Best of Luck to You!`
They have fairly hard cases on there.. each case cost me a good $45-55 dollars...and it's only my eldest iPad that's done it
