A popup just came up on my iPhone saying "Your iPhone has been compromised." I turned the phone off; but what do I need to do now?

That is a scam.
It's a malicious ad served to you by a website designed to scare you into downloading useless software or stealing your money and personal information.
Install an ad blocker to stop seeing that garbage.

Are you just now learning the Facebook tracks you? This is irrelevant to any device you use, but at least with an Apple device, you have options to lessen the tracking by such sites as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, on and on and on.
You already posted this question.
You can turn off location tracking in Settings Privacy.
You cannot stop Facebook harvesting your innermost secrets and habits.
Facebook privacy settings are for other users not Facebook staff.
