speaker stopped working

I have tried the trouble shooting listed in similar posts. My speaker stopped working after the last update. I can hear the other person but they cannot hear me. FaceTime is the same. I have already cleaned the speaker, checking the sound setttings, everything looks correct. Please help.

Three Thoughts:

A. iPhone Speaker:

Try the troubleshooting tips at this link:

B. Restore from a Backup:

Did you create a backup, prior to installing this update? If so, restore from it. If not, then take this as a learning experience knowing to always backup your iPhone. That way you can have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go working with the install.

C. Provide Apple Feedback:

Do your Part. Seeing similar posts, this seems to be a common issue. Hence, most certainly a bug. So, inform Apple of this bug - Apple won't get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what bugs are occurring and what needs to be fixed.

How to Give Feedback:

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for "Feedback Type"
  3. Inform Apple: of how you came across this issue, and how you've troubleshot it thus far.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary
