Chapter button on remote skips from movie to slideshow

Some set top DVD players do that. Not sure why, but they are out of spec or something.
What you need to do is just put a marker at least 1 second from the end of your movie track.
This way if you hit skip, it will go to this marker and not the next track.
Some players will just go the next track that is the next VTS Title Set if there is no marker.
I, out of habit, just make sure i always have 1-2 seconds of black on the end of each track and set a marker there. Helps for Stories, and if you get bad macroblocking on the end of some hardware encodes.
Then you can cut it out in the timeline.
But just make a marker and you should be good.
Try another player and see if it happens with that one.
We have a Memorex player at work and it does this, but my Sony ones dont.

Right... I do this on all my projects as well in order to nip potential problems in the bud.

I keep hearing this but noone ever gives me makes and models of the players...! can someone please give me the info on players that allow Title skipping when the correct UOPs are set?

You have set the UOPs right? Usually its user error and the problem goes when you disable UOP2. So select the Track, in the User Operations tab under the Playback Control disable the Title Play UOP. Then you can select the last chapter and set the chapter specific UOPs. You may want to disable Next Program skipping for the last chapter,
